The newest version of Blackberry desktop Manager has a feature that will let you tether your Blackberry phone to your laptop via the USB sync cable that came with it. I suggest downloading the newest version from the Blackberry Website.

That being said, be careful because many phone companies bill you an extra (large) charge for using your phone as a modem to go on the internet with your laptop. I have a full data package with AT&T to get email and surf from my phone, but if I decide to tether it to use it as a modem for my laptop, it's a whole different rate and charge than what I am paying nw.
