Default Problem: 3G symbol but no BB symbol in NY/CT

Please Login to Remove!

I have a weird problem on my Bold (OS 4.6.0.297). In the CT/NY are only, I often get just the 3G symbol but no BB symbol. Email works very erratically. If I switch to 2G and back again, all is OK for a few hours until it happens again. I assume it is an AT&T problem since it only happens in NY/CT but I haven't seem any other reports about it. It's been going on for a few weeks now. Any one else seen this?

There have been problems with ATT 3G in New York. But it is not only in New York. My friend and I both have a bold and he had 3G while I had EDGE and the phones were right next to each other. I have no idea why it does that.

Am I the only person with this problem? I have a 9700 on a different number that exhibits the same symptoms. It must be a tower issue but I can't get anyone at AT&T to pay attention.

Too many 3G users and not enough network capability to support all of the users. ATT's build out of the network and the explosion of iPhone users has been a major problem, especially in larger cities.
