Default Battery Life Diminished

Please Login to Remove!

I've had my Bold for about 6 to 7 months and battery life has been very good. I have even kept the WiFi on continuously for just about the whole time I've had it. But just yesterday, the battery kept leaking way too quickly. I turned WiFi off, removed the batt, then recharged it, kept the WiFi off, and overnight it leaked to 35%. HELP!!!

I noticed something similar, but not quite.

Was in Mexico last year for a week with my Bold. Battery lasted as it did in the US, about 50% used up every day. Was in Mexico this year, same place, same Bold. Battery used up 100% my midday, every day. Double checked to make sure no program was running in the background that should not be. Thought my battery was dying.

Back in NYC, and the battery drain is gone. Hmmm........

If you are in a fringe 3G area, then the device is constantly searching and going between EDGE and 3G to get a 3G connection. that might be the problem. Were you roaming a lot more this year than last? That also can be an issue.
