hey guys,

kind of a unique/humorous situation but it's kind of nagging at me now after it's been a week.

i've been wanting to download the official bbm 5.0 update but i can't since my trackball cannot click in the middle. i've tried opening up the bold, cleaning the ball and the encircling dust, but to no avail.
the funny thing is, i can't download the update since i'm forced to have to click "download" in the main browser. (i can't bypass this by pressing the return/enter key)
i have found no ota links for either the bbm or the app world since they are both available via official website. thus, i am screwed.

can somebody help me out of this please? thanks, and happy new year's.

Sounds to me like you at the point you need to replace the trackball. I haven't done it myself, but from the experience of others it seems to be simple enough for most anyone to do themselves. There is discussion in multiple threads here on the forum, youtube videos, illustrated instructions on various websites and blogs.... You should have no trouble finding How-To's and sources with minimal searching.
