Trying to setup a second email account on the phone and can not get it to work, I manually put in the account details but always get the error

"Cannot connect to email server or invalid server name: please verify the server name."

I look after the server that the mail account is on and for the life of me can't work out why it won't connect.

It's a Linux based server running Cpanel if that matters and IMAP and POP3 are all running and are OK.

I can connect with exactly the same details using outlook to the account but the BB won't connect.

I tried on another BB that is on a different network with the same results.

Tried calling the network to help and got no where with them they kept trying to run through the account creation process over and over.

Anyone got any idea's? is there some sort of server config I need?

Are connecting using imap or pop3?

i'm not sure, I dont have the option to choose but I do select that I want to setup a pop/imap account.

I can't connect to any mail account on this particular server, must be some sort of server end setting?

I'm assuming you're on BES. Talk to your admin and see if it has anything to do with the server's end.

Woops, just read that you already talked to them. Sorry. Let me think about the issue, then I'll get back to you.
