Default Backup Restore Data Missing Problem

Please Login to Remove!

I have been upgrading the OS of my BlackBerry Bold 9000 for quite some time. I have seen one consistent inconsistency after the upgradation. Every time after the upgrade, some of the SMSs or Call Logs are missing from the database as if they never existed in the first place. Last update was for version 5.0.0.610 today and I lost all SMSs and Call Logs between 30th Dec 2009 to 9th Apr 2010.

Does anyone face the similar problem? What is the solution?

PS - Thankfully, I always take back up before the OS and reloade the same but the auto backup taken by BB while upgrading does not have that information. There has to be some solution to this!!!!

Before backing up/upgrading the os, try clearing your browser cache. Do you use loader.exe or DM to upgrade the os?

i use EXE file. I install it on PC, delete vendor.xml from the common files and then open DM to upgrade the OS.

Rather than opening DM, use double click on the loader.exe file to install the OS.
