Default For OS Updates, Do I Need the BB Desktop Mgr?

Please Login to Remove!

Quick questions: Do I need the BlackBerry Desktop Manager installed in order to do an OS update? I know that I can use the Loader.exe program but does the BB Desktop Mgr need to be there (with whatever drivers, etc.) for the install to work? Thanks!!!

Yes, you need Desktop Manager. You can't load the handheld OS to the desktop until you have Desktop Manager installed. Loader is part of Desktop Manager.
