Ok, so I upgraded from a REALLY old version to this (b/c of an app error) and I don't really like the new version of the software MAINLY because I lost the notepad... so is there a way I can get a notepad in this version of the software? Or maybe theres an app that allows me to store lists like the notepad did?

HA, not always!
I have recently upgraded my 9000 to V184.108.40.2061 and it is a nightmare. I use a MAC and am on Orange UK. Can I download this link to 1385 and use it through my MAC version of Desktop manager please or do I need to go another way.
Now, I have a question.
I am in India, and the data carrier is Idea Cellular. I have the unlimited data plan activated on my phone.
When I click on Settings>About, I get Blackberry 9000 smartphone (3G, Wi-Fi) v220.127.116.116 (Platform 18.104.22.168). Does this mean I am running an old version. Then why, when I try to update it through the blackberry website, it says latest software already running?
Can I go ahead and install this version? Will it work here in India? I bought my phone already unlocked, in the sense, it is not carrier specific.
@Bacchus, LCD clock is working fine on mine.
I too faced the sound problem. There were no tones what so ever, neither during a phone call, sms received nor when i clicked on 'try it'. Rebooting solved it.
Tried the above, but will not load the 5.0 OS. I've read elsewhere that in addition to deleteing the vendor.xml file you need to edit the Blackberry.xla file to "remove" vendor_id codes. I assume this has to be done using EXCEL and VB script - can anyone post a procedure i.e. to identify exactly which lines to remove or REM if that will solve the issue. A quick look at my BB.xla file in notepad showed there was about 20 lines referencing vendor_id and at least a dozen codes!
i am using os 22.214.171.124(126.96.36.199)
now when im open the apploader i get an error after he does the device check.
the error is:
blackberry desktop software dont have a blackberry device software for your device that can connect your pc.
the phone is from at&t but right now is not in america
