I just got myself a Bold 9000 and updated it to 5.0.0.681. I tried 822 but had the issue others have found with sounds stopping working after a while.

Anyway, my actual question is:
Do others have an issue where when doing a download of an app from appworld over a fast connection like wifi or 3G, the transfer will occur in "surges" where it will download a chunk, you get the clock symbol appear on screen and it pauses for a second or two, then it downloads another chunk and pauses etc etc. From a hardware standpoint it appears to me like the device can pull data faster than it can write to its own flash memory or something, I just want to know if this is normal or a bug?

Mine does the same thing, I think it downloads part of the file, then writes it to it's flash memory, instead of doing both at the same time.

I've noticed this, particularly more lately. My memory is early on when I started using app world, the app download would proceded steady from beginning to end.
