9000 w/ v5.0 Build 1385 Sound issues
 

I just installed Version 5 build 1385 (Hutchinson) and I can't get any sound at all on my Blackberry Bold 9000.Media card support = On.
Memory compression = Off (makes no difference)
Mass storage = On

I can access the ring tones menu, but I cannot get a sound out of it.
Similarly, I can get into the media card, select a song, and try to play it, but it just gives me an "error trying to play *******".

Anyone heard of this? Anyone got a solution?
I DID see that I can get "vibrate" going by going into the clock, which I did, but I need my sound alerts.
I also did a battery pull - no difference

I had this same issue with my Bold 9000 when I first installed the new OS 5.0

It tends to come back at times, particularly if I adjust my notifications settings but a battery pull usually fixes it...

Same issue - no ringers, alarms, nothing. Battery pull does not fix it for me. Reverting OS'es right now.

god... i got the sound issue as well, after upgradede to 5.0.0.822 from my carrier....

no ringtone came out from the speaker once receiving the phone call or even the SMS...

the LED seems working well with RED light....

but no sound at all, whats going on??

I was experiencing the same issue. I just installed the Version 5 update and all it would do to notify me is vibrate. I took the battery out and re-installed. All is working fine now.

battery pull only works until the next battery pull!

This happens to me as well when i am trying to modify my message alerts or ringtones. It takes a battery pull to get them all working again. After reading several boards, it appears it is a bug

i think it's a bug w/ that version. i had the problem too. then i downgraded to .681 with some VVM problems. using .509 now which has been steady!
