I have read what I could on the forums & googled the heck out of my brain with no result. I figured I could ask for help here, since there are many experienced users about.
I have recently upgraded the OS to v18.104.22.1681 (Platform 22.214.171.124) from v4.6 (?) OS. My BlackBerry is model 9000 Bold. It is on a UK T-Mobile network. Using Win-7.
Since I haven't really installed the Desktop Software onto my new PC at home, I have finally decided to do so. The version number is: v126.96.36.199
Component versions are:
Blackberry Device Manager - 188.8.131.52
BBDevMgr - 184.108.40.206
RIM USB Driver - 220.127.116.11
RIM USB Serial Driver - 18.104.22.168
Application loader - 22.214.171.124
Now on to my problem.
I have to my knowledge successfully installed and upgraded the OS on my BB Bold.
I have successfully installed Blackberry Desktop Software.
I have also successfully installed the Blackberry Device Manager.
When I connect my phone using USB. The PC detects the phone, but the Desktop Software fails to connect to my handset.
It keeps on giving me the error message pop up window. Stating to check the battery and the completion of reboot prior to connection. Which I've done about 20+ time of this post. Over span of 10hours.
I've also checked my PC Device manager to see if the USB was outdated, but it wasn't and it showed the Blackberry device when connected. Just the Blackberry Desktop Software is not detecting it. Which is very crucial for me, since I really need my backed up information reloaded.
I've also called my carrier's technical support, and well they have done nothing but to frustrate me further with procedures that I've already followed over dozens of times.
Any help would be appreciated!
