Default New 9000 Bold, Sos, Im New to Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my first Blackberry 9000 Bold last friday on a trip, now that I am home the only signal I get is: SOS. Keep in mind I am totally new to Blackberry but not Cell Phones. My Carrier is Rogers and here is my problem.

My cousin has a Blackberry Curve and his phone works on the 2G network here, the 9000 Bold is 3G but also can drop to 2G, when I change the options manually to 2G it gives the message "emergency calls only network".
We took out my cousins SIM Card and put it my Bold phone and he got the same signal has he does on his Curve, he made a call no problems whatsoever with a 4 bar singal strenght. What is the difference between his SIM Card and mine?

Maybe you have a bad SIM card? What happens when you put your 9000 SIM card in his BB?

As Dubdub already said, maybe you have a bad SIM card. Go to Rogers and ask them for a new one.
