A voice dialing app has mysteriously appeared. At certain times my device "talks" to me asking for dialing information. I do not wish to use it and I assume it is taking memory space? How do i get rid of it?

I had to change the default of voice activated dialing from one of the convenience keys to something else. Every time I put the phone in my pocket I heard a voice say something like "who do you want to call..." The voice reminded me of my ex-wife :(. One thing you can do is change the convenience key settings in options/screen and keyboard at the bottom and select a different application. I don't know if VAD is a software feature or not that might have come with a software update( I left my BB at work by mistake this weekend, so I can't check the exact location and the application list)...you might be able to remove it under something like options/advanced/applications. I definitely feel your pain, with that voice. VAD is nice though if you have a good bt headset...

I am experiencing exactly what you described. I've searched all over and cannot find where to remove or disable toe app. Help?

not sure how to uninstall app, unless it's possible through desktop manager....but you can make it so it isn't annoying by changing the convenience keys. The reason it's always going off is because it's set as a convenience key...just go into options/screen and keyboard and at the bottom change the convenience keys to another app, or no app if you want...
