Default Ctrl Alt Del Reboot - Not working right after OS 5.0

Please Login to Remove!

Since I upgraded to OS 5.0.0.882 I am having a problem restarting my phone.
I am have a hug memory leak problem and have to reboot the phone at least once per day.
When I hit (Ctrl, Alt, Del) the screen goes black the red light comes on, the reboot progress meter line starts (at this point everything looks normal) then I get my home screen like I never rebooted the phone! no asking for my password and the memory will be at the same point it was before the reboot.
If I hit Ctrl, Alt, Del again then I get a real reboot.
I know that somebody is going to tell me just to do a battery pull, but my phone is in a OtterBox Defender case and it is a little pain in the ass to do a battery pull.
PS - I did my upgrade as a OTA from AT&T and my memory problem was so bad that I wiped the phone and did a clean install.

Anybody else having this problem?

There is no "Ctrl" on the BlackBerry, so I am not sure what keys you're hitting.

You should be pressing Alt + rightShift + Delete.

Some people say do this reboot, and when your device screen hits the WHITE screen, do the same reboot again.
And, then allow it to reboot.

I always say a battery pull is much better since it actually clears the memory and shuts everything off.

Agreed.... it is just a lazy (I don't want to take the case apart) OtterBox Defender thing.
