here is what i tried

1- removing it from applications and reinstalling it.
2- updated the os and tried to install it from the update it self.
3- remove it and re installed from apploader on pc.

1. Did you check both applications AND downloads folders?
2. Is your friend using a BB with a full data plan?
3. Is your friend on a carrier and in a country that supports app world?

Go to home screen, or maybe downloaded folder, press on menu key, press "show all". Click on new icon once. Then press menu key again, press hide. Your new icon should be there. (Either in downloaded folder or somewhere on home screen. Wj
