Default Single key on keyboard no longer clicks

Please Login to Remove!

My "u" key has lost its action and no longer clicks when you press it so that you cant touch type any more (even though the key press still works).

Does anyone know if the keyboard (which can be replaced) is responsible for the clicking or is it the micro switch on the motherboard (I am guessing).

I havent taken it to pieces yet but I know that in my previous 8700 the motherboard had the soldered micro switches that were actuated by the keyboard.

This being the case I guess I am hooped yes as you cant easily replace the microswitches on the motherboard.
