Unable see new emails and texts
 

Hi,

My Bold is giving me problems. I know I have new emails and texts because I have the envelope icon on the top of my screen, but I can't see any new messages in the SMS or email apps.

I tried restarting, taking out battery and SIM, but no use.

Anybody had this problem? Anybody know how to resolve it?

Yes I checked. Also realised I can't see outgoing texts and emails either. Nightmare.

Going to try call my provider and talk them into giving me another phone, I am having all kinds of issues with this one

Everybody stop panicking, crisis averted.

I noticed that the date on my phone had somehow set itself to march 2007, once I correct this I started seeing new texts and emails which were coming in.

So to clarify, because the system time was 4 years ago all texts and emails were being being assigned a received time in 2007 so they were at the very end of my list of emails/texts.....just encase anybody as clueless as me has the same problem.
