Help: Track Ball Hi, My track Ball select (Press) not working. I tried every possible way to solve but failed. Any one had solved this types of problem? Need Help Please. |
Re: Help: Track Ball Do you carry it in your pocket? Did you drop it or get it wet? |
Re: Help: Track Ball No frnd. But I think the contact in mother board not working. |
Re: Help: Track Ball You can try cleaning the ball incase there is some dirt or scummy stuff stuck in there. What i do is take a Q-tip and dip it in rubbing alochol, then lightly coat the ball and roll it all around for a bit. |
Re: Help: Track Ball I also have a trackball that is beginning to fail on scroll down. I searched and searched and there are complete tutorials on how to disassemble it and clean, but I don;t think it's necessary. This other methods may be easier and less invasive to clean, whenever they suggest QTips, I would use the sponge ones, not cotton: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Other-BlackBerry-Smartphones/Trackball-not-working-quick-trackball-cleaning-how-to/td-p/256520 |
Re: Help: Track Ball In case this is still relevant, I had good results with this: LCD screen cleaning wipes. Compressed air can. Removed battery. Squeezed the LCD wipes and let a drop or two fall on the trackball and pressed and rolled, until it was dry again. Pressed the trackball and used the tip of the straw on the compressed air can to blast air all around it. While I was at it, used the still damp LCD wipes on the screen, areas left and right of the trackball, and keyboard, and more compressed air on each row and column of the keyboard. Waited until everything looked dry and put the battery back on. And everything works. Considering that I've been abusing this unit since 2008, I would say it is well spent maintenance (I can use the LCD wipes and compressed air on many other items). |
Re: Help: Track Ball Once I was stuck with this problem and i use Self Evaporating Solvent on the trackball. I leave it for few minutes and let the Self Evaporating Solvent flow from the surface of trackball sensor. When I "ON" the phone trackball was working efficiently. Note:- please remove the battery from the phone while doing this. |
