Unlocked BB 9000 wont accept my sim card
 

Just got my sim card from Vodafone and a bb 9000. When i first installed the sim i was given the error "sim not provisioned:2" at the top of the screen. The signal bar said SOS. I expected this as the phone was locked.

I unlocked the phone and installed my sim card once again. The phone still stated "Sim not provisioned:2" and the signal continued to say SOS. However i do receive signal for a few seconds before this is stated.

Don't know whether this is helpful or not but thought i might as well tell you, i later remembered that the phone was previously locked to vodafone anyway. unlocking it was useless.

I've searched around on the internet for a while and couldn't find anything. Can you guys help me?

Either the SIM is defective or not provisioned. Call the carrier or try it in a different phone.
