I don't know what to think about it. Looks a bit odd.

could be just the notion though. it is new, just will take some getting used to. Remember the suretype devices at first? looked strange then too.

That is a fantastic looking device; if I were in the 90's

I wouldn't use that thing if it were free. I had a StarTAC in 1996, no need for one in 2008. Plz k thx.

it looks like there's something weird with the photos, like the image is stretched, or maybe its just a weird perspective. seems to be the size of a pearl when its closed!

photos are definitely taken in the manufacturing plant washrooms!

just wait til the specs come out, i mean...

there are some at&t phones that are uber big, but completely functional and efficient...

this one seems that way too. :]

Gonna need more pics before I can give it my personal thumbs up/thumbs down. I want to see more views and get an idea of the thickness and outside appearance.

Default This is hot - 05-01-2008, 12:21 AM

u gotta think about this. It's basically a flip pearl which is cool. Still got ur suretype and now u have a bigger screen. I can see it now when u get a new email just flip it open and it will automatically open the message. This will be a perfect back up/weekend berry

Hehehe. Since no one has asked it yet, let me be the first. "When is Sprint going to get this?"

*ducks for cover*

Nah just a few augmentations in the xml/alx files? Well you know what I mean just cant think deep right now.

I think this looks FANTASTIC! Even if fake its incredible. Hats off to whomever designed this clamshell. Takes a wicked stab at SonyEricssons latest efforts at great clamshells like the Z780/w980i. However the outer screen has GOT to GO! put a larger OLED color in there to save battery life, and allow a mini Zen theme to display events, missed calls, profile in use, current song playing as a scrollable menu, and the ability for users to control the music playback (since no remote controll or allow A2DP/A2DVP control over BT as well). Also allow users to click on a menu key to see current playlist, scroll through it and to view pictures (not video though). Imagine being in a board room ... press 2 buttons 1st once, the second no more than 3 clicks and that little clamshell, while closed, the end user can glance down under the desk and see that perfect photo of their kid and bring an INSTANT smile to their face and get them BACK into the game ready to absorb that board room lecture/presentation ;).

Yeah RIM is definately going to increase another 3.5 million first mth this is released. I can see Madonna upgrading to this in a heartbeat!

Looking for that perfect signature, hmm.

I think the exterior finishing is probably not finalized as with all beta products. I can see the front as a dark grey or silver or black, anyway something sleek and shiny.

I'll say it's different. No harm having more choices for consumers whether you like it or not.

Sounds like we will need a new forum as well as the "Clamshell series" haha
