| Re: track pad works in some screens and not others I had a 9000 at the time and I got sick of the constant loading clock image, it kept popping up every once in a while even though I only had Google Maps installed and none of the IM clients except BBM.
So I sold it and bought a BB 9300 coz I loved the size, and the keyboard, I also had an 8520 in the past which served me well so....
The moment I opend the box at home and started playing with it, I noitce that the trackpad was not to my liking, no where as smooth as my previous 8520. So I thought maybe it had some sticker on it that is making it so unresponsive, but nada! There was no sticker!
I tried cleaning it (imagine that! a brand new phonegiving me so much trouble), but no help!
So I posed the problem on a forum and people told me that is a known hardware defect in the 9300.
The trackpad would work only if I place a cloth over it! how convenient?! :(
My hands are not swetty at all, plus, the 8520 and my friend's 9700 trackpad always works perfect, no need for your hand to be super dry or anything!
I took it back to the shop and they gave me a full refund on the spot without any questions asked!
Now that is not normal here in Dubai for giving a refund so easily, but the store keeper so the problem and couldn't utter a word.
The trackpad worked once, and wouldn't work most of the time, it would like scroll right, but not up and down, or the opposite.
I am not saying that all 9300s are bad. It is just that some of them (many) had this faulty trackpad.
Eitherway, take it back and have the trackpad replaced or the phone all together! |
