| Issues with the "A" key's multi-function Please Login to Remove! Hi all,
New BB Curve 3G. Had a need for my user to dial *228 on VZW to reprogram. He was on the home screen, pressed the * (which would normally pop you into the phone function), and it locked the device.
Come to find out, the "A" key on the Curve 3G is also the lock key - according to the RIM documentation - "press & hold to lock the phone". Seems we have a bum keyboard, as it takes no more than a light tap on the "A" key, and the phone is locked. Even if the user is in the phone function....he presses * <star key> and the phone locks. He then has to unlock & continue to input the rest of the number to dial.
Anyone else experienced this, or is it the luck of the draw & some faulty hardware? (VZW is sending a replacement, but I am still curious if anyone else has seen this).
Thanks! |
