Default Problem with my BB

Hi guys,

I have a BB 9300 (v. 6.0.0.570) and i have a big troubles with my BB.

When i purchased my BB it comes with BB OS 5 and i update to 6. The update was a success and my BB works fine by months.

Recently i "formated" the BB. Using a tool clean all SO info. Install a clean OS and start the troubles.

The version that i installed only have English as language. I said, "okay, i will install the Portuguese language". I install the portuguese language but... with the Portuguese language on i can't configure e-mail accounts!

I try everyting, but the phone have bugs ... is the language problem, is the notification system, that have GUI bugs...

So, someone can help me?

Can you be more specific? What do you mean by "the phone have bugs?" What does it say when you try to configure email accounts?

If the phone is in English ... i can configure email accounts ... if i change to another language ... when i select email accounts ... nothing change ... is the same thing if i never select that option.

So, the configure email accounts is always in English? Does it work properly but only displays English language?

I install a clean version of BB OS.

If i use my BB in my language (Portuguese) i can't configure any email account.

If put BB in English works fine.

The configure email options are a function of BIS and your carrier, etc. There aren't any settings you can change. It may just be that the Email config application is only compatible with English. Honestly, I've never changed the language on my device so I'm not sure I can be much help.

Is there an error message when you attempt to access when in Portugese?

No. When i click to configure nothing appear.

EDIT: I'm using OS 6.0 (2534).

Is this device and OS supported by your carrier? If so, you might try contacting them.

The device is, but the OS not. Only the BB OS 5.

So, you're beta testing for the carrier (in essence.) I don't know of a solution. Maybe someone else will come along who can help more than I.

The BB works fine, only the language is the main problem. :S

If i configure the email with the English language, and change after to my language all working fine... i receive all notifications.

PS. You know when BB OS 7 comes out?

It sounds like that might be your only workaround for the time being. I bet you'll have full language support for Portugese once your carrier releases an official OS.

Unfortunately, OS7 will not work on the 9300 devices.
