App/shortcut problem

Have only 8 apps on my 9300, when i go to download theres not enuff memory,can your apps be put in your memory card ?

also the last app i downloaded didnt give me a short cut , any help or advice would be great

Applications cannot be installed on the Media Card.

What else do you have stored on the device?
