Default 9530 *owners* - is the Storm worth $50

Please Login to Remove!

My wife (not a power user) is on the fence about the Storm. I ordered one for her today, and I'm either getting it tomorrow, Monday, Wednesday, or December 5th (I'm "somewhere" in the accepted orders queue).

The question is - for $50 (our price due to long-time Verizon relationship), is the Storm worth it (vs. Curve, RAZR 2, or anything else) ?

At 50 bucks, I'd definitely say so.

I got paid over $200 to get my two, but I would have gladly paid $50 each.

The funny thing is that I paid $249 (-$50 rebate) for a RAZR MAXX ve in 2007. While that seems like a lot, it still is flawless (looks brand new) and does what it does really well.

Same with a BB 8703e (free from work).

My primary concern with the Storm is durability. $50 now could = repairs later...

$50 is definitely worth it when you can throw it on eBay and make 10 times the money back.

re: eBay - but then we're stuck with the 2-year contract on a device we don't own... At "full price" even a Curve would look "expensive."

You take the profit, buy the device you like on eBay, and still have plenty of cash left over.

Tell me, how long does your relationship have to be to get a Storm for 50? I have been with Verizon for a long time and was told I had to pay full retail because we were outside of our upgrade window.
