The screen turning foggy scares me. Did that ever fix itself?

That would scare me too. Just 'cause you used on a Curve or a pearl doesn't mean it wouldn't damage a Storm or Bold. Different screens. I'd be real leery using a wet thing on that screen. Alcohol maybe, water don't think so. There are too many other options out there, and you cannot bring it back with water damage.

I've really been putting some thought into getting this product, and i really want to but, after thinking it over ive got some concerns.

1. The water factor that everyone knows about, which really scares me.

2. Since the Storm is a click screen, and the screen actually moves in and out, don't you think there will be some sepparation and movement from the screen if it is sitting in place, and then u press the screen down?

if someone could confirm that my #2 question makes any sense to anyone other than just me, that'd be nice.

I work at Best Buy as a Mobile Sales Consultant. I put on these screens at least twice a day for various phones. The instructions say do not spray the phone, but I do it anyways. I do the same as if I put on tint on cars. It is SAFE. Just don't spray too much on the phone. Once you have the shield on it, spray more solution on the top of the shield so that the squeegee just slides across the top and not mess it up because of it being dry.

I don't remember if you mentioned that you put "I.S." on your Storm but all phones are not created equal as in structure and design. The Storm's screen is a totally different "animal" it flexes and I would think is very delicate and wouldn't be good if water works it's way in. If it's possible to use isopropyl alcohol I would use that with the battery out as extra precaution. I know that this type of alcohol is used to clean circuit boards from flux residue and such. It also evaporates almost immediately! If water gets inside the electronics it may not effect your device right away but may slowly corrode the electronics over time for a surprising malfunction of your unit that no one would want.

Just my 2 cents...

P.S. I actually called and spoke to a C.R. at Invisible Shield a few days ago and if I recall correctly she said you can apply the film on dry.

Yes, after about 10 minutes the screen was fine.

I would imagine that the shield is designed with separate pieces, just like the ones for other BB's. One piece will sit directly over the screen, and another piece would go across the top of the phone where it says Blackberry. there would not be one on the keys at the bottom. There are several pieces to these shields. So the movement of the screen would not would not matter.

My question is: have you put these screens on the Bold and the Storm yet (spraying the water on their screens)?

Good question. Awaiting the reply......

I've read on other BB forums not too many good things about the Invisible Shield and the Storm. I think it's a bold and crazy move..........

I know that. But if you do just the film, you can't reposition it.

What?!!! are you guys like drenching the screen with water or something....I did this on a curve (yah the screens are different on the bold and Storm) and always had a tissue paper on the side. As i would run off excess moisture, i would make sure wherever it ran off, the tissue was right beneath it. Its not that hard....

I've never used Invisible Shield or BSE. I know lots of people who have and have seen the results, both good and not so good. I think if you want the sides and the back covered it's an acceptable product, but if all you want is the screen you have many choices that just stick on there and don't use water. Check out this thread on the Bold/9000 forum: are you gonna risk $500 using an $8 product that has plenty of alternatives? Does that make any sense? It's not an iPod, Pearl, or Curve. And trust me if it gets messed up nobody's gonna cry for you, it's your $500.
How to get rid of water spots on Bold screen?!?!

Unless you accidentally dump a cup of water on your device you will be fine. The Invisible Shield is a must. Period.

Stop whining and get over it. My phone is fine and all of my other devices. Must be retarded to mess this up.

Doesn't the storm come with its own shield. I set my bosses up and it had a thin plastic film over the touch screen with a bubble in it... I pushed the bubble out with my finger and it looks perfect. I'm slightly confused about this posting.

Yes, it does. However, this is for a screen/body protector that many people have used on previous devices with much success and that people would now like to apply to the Storm.

It is thin and scratches easily. The Invisible Shield, does not scratch at all.
