how come when you try to download BBmaps it says theres no version for storm???

Maybe because the one posted on the web is only for OS 4.6 and older. Besides shouldn't bbmaps be already loaded. See if you can't find the .alx files then load it from Desktop Manager.

I went to on my phone and I dled it on the storms Memory card, using the dl by push option...dled the 1.2 version onto the card which is in zip format...i transfered it to my desktop and unziped it and used DM to upload the application onto my bb...hope this made sense, if not I can go through my phone and tell you exactly where everything is.
