Default Should I have to keep pressing down to advance ?

Ok here's my question. Sometimes when I press down on an icon for example the manage connections button, it doesn't advance right away. It seems like I have to keep pressing and pressing down for it to go to the next options. Shouldn't I have to just push down once and be ok? Am I doing something wrong?

Make sure the icon is highlighted before pushing it. I've noticed that if you land in between icons and push, thinking you pushed the icon you meant to push, it doesn't register.
