BlackBerry Media Sync I am trying to load BlackBerry Media Sync. When I click start I receive an error message saying: "The BlackBerry Media Sync installation failed to initialize. Please run the BlackBerry Desktop Manager with administrative privileges and try again. Thoughts? |
I have the same problem. When I run the Blackberry Desktop Manager with administrative privileges, it never finds my BB when I connect it via the usb cable. |
I was having the same problem, and I got onto the Blackberry website and downloaded MediaSync straight from them, and it worked. You could give that a shot and see if it works for you too. |
will do. thanks for the tip. |
Gentlemen, I am using Windows Vista Business, SP-1. I right click on the DM icon and run it as an administrator. Looks all well and good and then crashes when I evoke Media Sync (to transfer my iPOD music to my new Storm). I have wiped and tried many times. Judging from my 4.7 installation under XP, SP-3, I think my WVB needs Roxio, but I'm just not sure. Have had good and bad MM experiences: YouTube videos work, but not those from Reuters. Scrolling pdf files are a hoot ! |
I just installed BB Media Sync after downloading it from the BB website......perfect. This is AWESOME! I have so many playlist in iTunes that I can pick and choose to sync to my Storm. Thanks wcgoins! |
I am happy for you. Questions: (1) from your PC, right?; (2) if PC, your OS?; (3) at the BB site, what about downloading DM + MM?; (4) what about USB and modem drivers?; (5) order of installation on PC?; (6) where are VCAST, Rhapsody, and Roxio in all this ? |
iTunes compatible with BlackBerry? So, are the iTunes audio files (I think they are .m4p files) compatible on the Blackberry? or do they have to be converted? |
Our expectations are that Media Sync will handle any needed reformatting. Most everybody (but not all) are having trouble getting the Desktop Manager, Media Sync. VCAST, and Roxio installed under Windows Vista, I think. |
Vista for me. I downloaded only Blackberry Media Sync from the BB site and installed it. The version that is installed with DM doesn't work right for some reason. |
blackberry media sync I in china now.there is a error sad "you IP come from a country which dose not permit" when I got onto BB website download blackberry media sync. So,what can i do now? |
well to be honest.... you guys dont need media sync just go for mass storage mode then get the windows sync toy... does the same job with not much hassle, i only use desktop manager for application install and address sync |
Found this on crackberry and it works great transfering songs from itunes Easy way to transfer Audio/Video files Okay I found this to be the easiest way to transfer media onto the storm Windows Xp 1. Make sure you have installed the Blackberry User Tools disc 2. Double click on My Computer 3. Double click on BlackBerry 9530 4. Double click on Media Card 5. You can either drag all your media into this folder or create a new folder for your media. I created two folders one for music and one for movies. Windows Vista 1.
