I can't wait to hear experiences with this as well. Also about how the playlists work.

If you're ITunes songs are protected (typical if you've purchased them from ITunes, not ripped), then no. You won't be able to play them. You will have to burn your protected songs onto CD, then rip them back.

Sorry, but this is the only way to make it work.

I do use my Itunes music folder to move song to my Storm. I have had success with the music purchased from Itunes as well. I choose the song or album that I want to transfer, I highlight it and then I go to the advanced tab in Itunes and click create mp3 version. I then go to my folder which contains all of my music and copy and paste the mp3 songs over to my Storm's music file on the memory card. This is not the most simple solution but it has worked great for what I need. I do use the mac version of Itunes so the procedure may differ slightly on the pc version. I hope this helps. Good Luck!!!

Yes, I used the media manager in the desktop software. It scanned my PC and pulled the itunes files into its index. Then I just moved them to the blackberry. I did have to mass select and have the media manager search the internet to reassign the artist and album. I also selected an optimize option during import. As stated above, protected files can't be run, but if you converted them from CD's you'll be fine. There is a hidden column in your itunes named "Kind" that will indicate the protection status. Good luck.

Hey guys I just found a awesome program called DoubleTwist. It removes the DRM copyright protection from purchased song on Itunes. It will even sync them right to your Storm. The best part is it's FREE! Only downside is it takes a long time.

Create a playlist in itunes, then move the songs over to the playlist that you want on your blackberry. On the lower right hand corner you will see a button that says "burn disk". Press that, insert a blank disk and you are on your way. Then after it is done burning, it will immediately turn around and say "import disk". Press that, and wait for your songs to import. You will have duplicates, but you can take those out later. I have a mac and I just place my memory card into a card reader, insert it into my USB, and drag over my songs to the music file. Seems to work great!

Why aren't you guys using the Blackberry media sync to put your itunes music on your phone?

It won't let me post a link, but go to the blackberry.com page and go in the Software Downloads area for music.

It's so incredibly easy. I put all 4GB of music on my phone with no problem.

Wirelessly posted (9530)

I just used the media sync without any troubles. Some of the files did not transfer because the were in the Apple Lossless format. Once I converted them in i Tunes all was well.

It not being compatible with 64bit machines is the issue there. We have to be inventive if we want songs on our BBs.

Is the Media Sync running really slow for anyone? It takes forever to identify my iTunes playlists.

The laptop is slow running Vista and my music collection is about 35 gigs.

As of now, I was able to sync playlists that I have on Itunes that accounted for some 1,000 songs. Took about 30 min. to transfer them from PC to Storm using Blackberry Media Sync. FYI, when I tried to install that software from the Desktop Manager, something went awry and I could not do it (I have Vista....) I surfed around a bit and found a copy that I downloaded and installed. Worked after that.

So far, so good. Songs sound good enough to me.
