Being that this battery is different I was wondering when I purchase the cradle where it becomes a pseudo alarm clock can the phone stay on charge over night and will this affect battery life? I know with old BB when battery was at 100 you had to stop and not over charge.

I would think that it should be just fine. I leave my Curve plugged in overnight frequently, and I know many other users on here do as well.

All lithium Ion batteries have to have a "stop charge" circuit in them to stop charging when they are full... or they'd all blow up, which would be bad. The craddles are meant to be used all night...thats why they built the cool Alarm Clock look into the phones.

Exactly. This battery as well as all of the recent BlackBerrys (83xx, 87xx, 81xx, 88xx, 9000) have Li-Ion batteries which can be charged all night.

so how do i make my storm battery last longer than 12 hours? i cant believe they could ship a device that needs to be charged twice a day
