Default Really isn't the Bold better then the Storm?

Please Login to Remove!

C'mon really though. In it's current state doesn't the Bold blow the Storm out of the water?

Yeah, the touchscreen on the Bold is much less responsive than the Storm.

While its hard to compare the two devices given how different they are, it does beg the question for those returning the storm, what phone do you get?

I'm leaning toward return the storm and giving the bold a try...

Not at all like comparing the Razr to a Bold.... ????

As a consumer, how can you NOT make a comparison between the two newest flagship Berries?

Compare away. The only true comparisons to the Storm would be, G1, iPhone, Windows Mobile, etc. You need a touch screen to compare.

You need to define "better". Better in what sense? Is the Bold better in that it will allow you to more efficiently do what BlackBerries were built for - communication via Phone, IM, sms, email - then a resounding "YES!".

How can a bold possibly be better when you can only get it on a network that is basically worthless if it matters that you can be heard or hear? I guess if you only send and receive email it might be.

Seems like you had a rough experience with ATT or Rogers, I have been with ATT for a long, long time and have experienced other networks as well and IMO ATT is better. They dont have the best prices on data plans but I can still say that I have not had any issues with voice calls or even data.

As for the comparison, both devices are made by RIM, its like comparing the Curve to the pearl or curve to bold. Yes, two totally different devices however, for a blackberry addict comparing the two would be easy. I myself like the idea of a touchscreen but, with the lack of a physical keyboard throws me off.

The BOLD is a flagship device, much better processor and memory, more tailored for corporations. The Storm, touchscreen device tailored for the younger generation, just a device RIM is trying to gain more market share with. In a nutshell, two completely different devices. If I was choosing I woukd purchase the Bold. I haven't read a decent review that the main downside of the Storm is its sluggish ness.

I gotta say, I have both VZW and at&t! These days there both not that wonderful. at&t was much better before they started the whole switch to 3G, and VZW has seen better days! Now I'm talking about Voice quality here. I've been with both for a while now, and have done many comparisons. Especially with Blackberry devices! I'd say as far as the Bold and Storm go, yes they are 2 very different devices. However I'd rather have a Bold in my pocket any day of the week! But it all comes down to preference, and I'd even go out on a limb and say I'd take my 8800 running on Edge over both of them!!!

How is the Bold memory better? Is the built in gig faster? It certainly doesn't come with more.

i think its personal preference...although for some reason the storm has come out against some ridiculous vitriol, which I find completely unfounded

I don't have a Storm yet (Verizon failed us) but will have one shortly and I'll do a head to head as I've been using the Bold the past month as my primary device.

Bold is no doubt the best classic style Blackberry yet. The screen is beauitful and the keypad has a solid feel to it. Storm will be different and I'm sure will have it's own merits on why it would be a better device.

I really don't get the whole how much memory is on your device, I currently have a 2gb MicroSD and it's only used for app data / documents. I have a MP3 player for music / movies. I guess i'm different and want devices dedicated to their core function. Do I need to be walking around with #gb media on my hip?

What's funny is the number of users that see the Bold here and want to touch the screen so if anything iPhone has trigged in people's head the head to touch.
