Default ripping

Please Login to Remove!

I am tring to use dvd decryter to put movies on my storm but it wont rip them. is there a newer version that will or is there something better?

I use AnyDVD to rip them and then use MeGUI to encode them. Just use the iphone preset and change the width to 480 and let it use mod16 to figure out the height based on the material you are trying to encode. MeGUI is not the easiest program in the world to use, but it is very powerful. You can find many howto's all over the internet on it. The synopsis though is:

Create D2V
Run Queue
Create AVISynth Script
AutoEncode
Run Queue

After you convert the dvd how do do you move it to the storm

You can either use the media manager through blackberry desktop manager or go to <options...memory...mass storage mode support> and change it to "On". Once you do this, it will show two drive letters in windows explorer, one is the card and one the builtin memory.. you can just drag it over.
