Default Filter for email? JUNK!!!

Please Login to Remove!

Anyway to filter my email ( .Mac ) so I only get my inbox from the desktop? The junk mail coming thru is ridiculous.

Thanks

I don't use that but don't you have an email filter on that address.

Well- it filters fine on my computer. The junk goes in the junk folder etc... But everything gets pushed to the BB.

What do the cool guys do?

Filter the junk email @ the server level... not in Outlook. RIM grabs the spam before it gets to outlook.

Most people use Gmail, there spam filters are great. You could foward your .mac to a gmail account. I have never got a spam email in over a year.

Apple offers server-side spam filtering for .mac (.me) email addresses.
Just log in to your account on the web and enable junk mail filtering in your preferences.
It's quite good.

Well, it is not massive spam. It is just what gets thru and is considered junk in my mailbox. I do have the mac filter on.

The stuff that gets by and goes into a junk file on the computer still gets pushed to the email of the BB. I guess I have to step it up on the mac side...somehow.

Thanks.

What folder it goes in on the Mac (or PC) doesn't matter. RIM does not pull email from your inbox on the Mac, but from the email server. If it isn't moved to a spam folder on the server, it flows to the BB.
