Has anyone been able to pair the new storm with the hand free link on the new Acura's? If so how? My phone finds the car but the car can't find the phone.

Wirelessly posted (9530)

I have paired my phone with my wife's Acura. We happen to be out of town at the moment. Anyways, the Storm paired just fine. I am not sure about your Acura but all I had to do was push the call button and say "phone setup". I then followed the prompts to set an activation key to pair my phone. On your phone,in the bluetooth settings, you need to select "search" rather than "listen".

Yes to pairing for Voice. Have phone look for car at the same time you have car look for phone. After car asks for password, do the connect from the BBerry and enter that code.

Regarding AcuraLink messages (data): No.

It's not the Storm's fault (it actually goes into Modem Mode for me - which is more than I ever got from my other devices). AcuraLink is a total piece of trash - never worked on my TL, RL, and now RDX.

I can get to the point where the phone asks for the code. I enter the code and it just times out. This might sound dumb but do you need to push something after you enter the code?

I have the Bold working perfectly with the acura link in my 07 MDX, it will even exchange to 700 entry address book!

Hey jeme,
My first ever post here... How were you able to get the Bold to pair and more importantly import the address book? I am able to pair but it keeps disconnecting on its own. And no go on the import of the address book. Got an 08 MDX w/Nav.

Thanks in advance.

My wife's Storm paired just fine with her 2008 RDX w/o Nav. She said she just followed the steps in the owner's manual. I wasn't involved so can't comment further.

I was told by my Acura dealer that my Bold is not compatible with my 2006 TSX. I'm not sure what to do as I am addicted to WORD mole!
