im curious, whats your boot time from second battery is placed in the back? my wife and i both have one. hers boots about a minute quicker than mine. any reason for this?

so whats your boot time?

I think it takes about 4 or 5 minutes for it to bootup after a battery pull (or a restart).

Boot time has always been slow on BBs.

Yeah, booting back up from a battery pull is always pretty slow. Mine takes about two or three minutes to recover from a battery pull.

mine is 4 minutes and 35 seconds, wife's is only 2:40. why is this????????????

I've experienced boot times anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes

Takes mine 5-7 minutes to boot to background screen. I also lag during typing, sometimes it doesnt even register what I press...RIM totally f-ed this one up and just like Electronic arts, delivered an incomplete product right before black friday and totally f-ed over the public. As always, as long as it works somewhat at sale date, these companies dont care. they will fix the problems later on, and keep us consumers in the blind and completetly pissed off.

after a crash where I have pulled the battery it takes 4:54 seconds to boot to the screen where I can enter my PIN. that is the quickest I have had it load! annoying. I also notice a lot of aftermarket car chargers fail to charge the storm! be aware! they can also cause damage.. Mine got very very hot!
seems ok now.. I ended up buying an official BB one.
