I need some help with using my Blackberry Storm. I have found some frustrating problems in using the software.I have updated to the latest firmware as of today.

The following apps seem to be missing from the phone:

1) Blackberry Maps
2)Application Center

I read that Imight need to re-register using the host routing tables. I did and nothing happened.

The following apps are not working:

1) Google Maps : needs a data connection
2) Facebook : Currently on service plan that does not support this application
3) MSN Messenger: Service not enabled for this handset
4) Yahoo Messenger: Service not enabled for this handset

Do I need a Blackberry Internet Service added to my price plan? I already had a vodafone account and I have bought the Storm through an internet shop and not directly from Vodafone with a plan. I am using Vodafone in the Netherlands at the moment.

Are the problems I'm experiencing because Vodafone need to switch on some Blackberry funtionality on my account? Or is there another reason?

i think you do need to get the BIS. basically i think its saying you dont have any service books ? im not sure how t check if you do though =/

Do you mean you don't have any data plan? So you dont have internet on your BlackBerry?

same thing happened to me i update a fe wminutes ago and now there are no apps listed in application center and there is also a icon for vcast which I want to get rid of..any ideas

ok got my apps back after doing this---> you need to resend your service books. try going to Options-> Advanced Options-> Host Routing Table -> click the menu button and choose register now. that should fix it up

I tried the Host Routing Table option but no joy! I phoned Vodafone today and they said that I need a Blackberry sybscription added to my acount. As the SAles Dept is closed today i need to phone tomorrow. Strange thing i can already access the internet, MMS etc no problem. It is only missing certain applications or the apps cannot connect because of the missing data plan. I don't know how much extra it will cost me but I will find out tomorrow.

Oh, it seems that Google Maps is now working...sort of. However the use GPS option is not available from the menu??
