For those who have the pre-release on your device and who are running Desktop Mgr 4.7, if you go into Upgrade Device, do you see BOTH the .75 (current) and "107" (current) listed, along with .65 (downgrade) ?

I do not see both. Also my DM (BES) actually connects to the server with the actual release. It wouldn't do it for the pre-release.

Here is what I mean.

From BlackBerry Desktop, go to Application Loader > Update Software [Start]



Note that I completely uninstalled and reinstalled BB Desktop (and the upgrade), so this was basically "clean" before I put the pre-release .75 on my computer.

Did you download the .75 install package from Verizon? I was under the impression that thats what "BlackBerry 4.7.0.107 for 9530" is. I had originally ran to "BlackBerry 4.7" to upgrade mine and noticed that it downloads the data from the internet, so I figured it was getting it directly from RIM. Anyway, I ran that one and found the performance to slowly degrade over the past 36 hours, so I reran the upgrade using "BlackBerry 4.7.0.107 for 9530". I didn't pay attention to see if it downloaded anything from the web, but it seemed like the entire process went quicker suggesting that it didn't have to download the data from the web. I'm hoping I won't come across the same performance issues this time.

I also went through this question while I was upgrading my storm. I had all three options available. I made sure to choose the Blackberry 4.7.0.107 for 9530 because I knew that my device was a 9530. I dont quite know what the difference is between that and the Blackberry 4.7... but what I know for sure is that the one I picked was certainly better than the .65. :D

What's the difference between the two? Does anyone know? Is the 4.7 pulling info from Blackberry? and the 4.7.0.107 from verizon?

It's most likely the version you downloaded and installed to the PC and the version that DM found online.
