Thats my 2 biggest problems I am having everything else is pretty good. Also having profile issues and ringer issues.

| Just download it from that link and install it to your PC.
Then go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and double click on "Loader.exe."
Simple. | | Offline

| i'm not an owner, but did have a shot at holding and looking over an unpowered storm @ a verizon store. before then, i assumed, based on what i read, that the touch screen/press screen was more substantial....kind of like Alpine's touch screen technology - where the small portion of the screen you touch with your fingers will curve down and 'click', so that you feel as though you're touching those pixels.
but when i tried it, disappointed to see the whole display is like a table on a pivot.
it's only a slight evolution to the iphone screen, not really a revolution to touch screens.
i guess for the money, you won't hurt too badly giving it another try....but for me, even the ipod touch didn't do much to dazzle...so i sold the one i bought.
but if you wait another year, it's going to get much better.... | | Offline

| Patience Required Several things:
1. The keyboard is so very different that it takes quite a while to get used to unless you are proficient at texting with your thumbs. I have been using my Stor for just over a week, I never did the "thumb thing" and I am almost back to the typing speed I had before.
2. You must update to at least the .75 OS version.
3. The 9530 is fundamentally a great platform, but due to the total redesign in interface, it will take some time for it to mature. The features are great. I depend heavily on mine for business and I am surviving the transition with relatively few scars.
4. Expect some problems with 3rd party software. I use a lot of 3rd party software. Most of the vendors have been great and have provided superb support. A couple are indifferent or arrogant but that is to be expected. I have dumped their software and found replacements.
I was unsure for the first couple of days, but I have come to love this device. 73 | | Offline

| Tell us how you feel about it now. Is it any better?
Before the OS upgrade, I was a little frustrated with the device, but having used about enough blackberries in my life...(957, 6700, 7250, 7105, 8703e, 8130, 8330, 8830) I've grown to have trust in RIM so I decided to keep it. After updating, there was definitely a HUGE difference.
The screen transitions were almost within one second, if not less. The camera was much faster, the calls were muted for me anymore. It was great.
Hope you gave it a shot. | | Offline
