I've already ordered an invisible shield online. I've been really anticipating this phone.

But I played with it today at the verizon store and just didn't like it so much. It was slow and i didn't like how the screen seemed cheap and hard to press down. The screen was also wobbly. Maybe the phone was just worn out from use, since its a display. It was also annoyingly slow. I looked at the pearl as well and i liked the way it is. I've never had a blackberry and I really like the trackball.

I'm looking for a device that can play music, play videos, good for texting, and internet. If I were on AT&T I would most definitely get the Iphone.

the screen on the storm just seems like its easily worn out and it doesn't seem very longlasting.

I've had my storm from day 1 and havent had a problem with it. There are some quirkiness which takes some getting use to and would/could be fixed in a firmware update. As for the hardware it seems sturdy and durable. The screen will wobble as you do have to press down on the screen onto a button to commit your action.

Is the phone for you? That is up to you, nobody can tell you if it is right for you. For me, multimedia is nice, google sync is a +, reception, email/text, are fine for me. You did mention the iphone, the iphone has some advantages but the biggest disadvantage is the cellular network it is on. For me, I would consistently drop calls and would barely get reception in my house, where my VZW phone had no issues.
