Default My Storm is shipping - will I have to upgrade OS?

So my Storm should be arriving tomorrow or Thursday. I'm beyond excited. My question is will the device ship with the latest OS or will I still have to do a OTA upgrade?

I just got mine today. Ordered on the 2nd. It came with .65.

Okay, so if I have to upgrade will the device let me know the new OS is available for OTA or do I have to perform some task on it to get to that point?

How do you find out if the phone is being shipped?

Nvm i just called verizon and they gave me a tracking number and my storm is out on delivery. I cant wait its going to be here any minute.

You will probably get .65.

A co-worker of mine received her phone yesterday and it came with .65. After you activate it, you should receive a new icon titled "wireless upgrade". Select it and you will be walked through the process. You will be warned that your service could be unavailable up to 2 hours. Don't worry. For me and my co-worker the process took approximately 10-15 minutes.

If you don't get a new icon within a few days of use, call Verizon customer service and ask to have it "pushed" to your phone.

If you are not an avid Blackberry user, familiar with the software and app-loader, I strongly encourage you to complete the upgrade wirelessly. It will also take a fraction of the time it takes to do manually.

I received my storm on 12/08 and it came with .65 but it only took 20 minutes to do the upgrade OTA.

Company informed us we are changing to VZW, so while I was at the store today playing on the Storm, looked at it, they are running the updated software. Rep told me that when the new ones are shipped, an OTA upgrade is required.
