The Storm doesn't come with any PIM software. No BlackBerry does. What are you talking about?

Use Outlook like 90% of the rest of the BlackBerry users out there.

I still have no idea what you're talking about.

i use outlook for transferring the contacts to the phone but when i hit contacts button on the phone its very hard to look up a name, i have been using microsoft 6.1 on my previous phone and it was a lot easier to look up contacts on the phone.

Wirelessly posted

I'm guessing you already know that if you swipe upward from the bottom to the top it will bring up the keyboard. Then you can type the first letter of the name you're looking for.

I keep sending suggestions to RIM saying they should include a drop-list with the alphabet to get into the listing quickly. Or, they could make an overly menu with the alphabet that pops up on top of the listing letting you pick a letter to jump to that point (and the menu disappears after you click a letter).

Press and hold the send key from the main menu, that will bring up your contacts. Then as a previous poster suggested, swipe up from the bottom to bring up the keyboard and you're in business.

Google Sync is great for syncing your contacts with your Gmail contacts. I had to clean up my Gmail contact list a little since I hadn't used it in a while, but now it's working great. Any change I make on my BlackBerry is reflected in Gmail and any change made in Gmail is reflected on my BlackBerry (once I sync them of course).
