To use the GSM part of the phone on Rogers.
The Storm from Verizon is able to be unlocked (with a call into Verizon) and used on AT&T and T-Mobile. Works perfect on Edge.

Thanks, but I heard they only can unlock the Storm 9500 (from Europe) not the Storm 9530 (which is the model sold in North America).
I sent them an email with the question nonetheless. I will report back what they reply.

Telus and Bell protect unlock codes like no one else. You would be much better off getting a 9500 from Vodafone. Feel free to contact Horizon but I am sure that is their answer.

Just received reply from Horizon. They cannot unlock a Telus or Bell Storm.

Horizon can't do it. I am hoping that someone on here might know another company that can.

We'll leave it open for that.

My advice would be for you NOT to pay up front, if they say they can.

Default blackberry bell mobility unlocking unlocked confirmed.

bell mobility unlocking is confirmed with cellularclinic.com.
I am using bell storm 9530 with rogers. I donot have data plan so i have no idea if PIN is working or not. But I confirmed by going to their oakville location and unlocked my bell mobility storm 9530 to use on rogers network. i saw other people gettting Telus storm unlocked by them as well

What method is that? an MML solution? I'm guessing its not code or they would not need it on hand to unlock.

You'd have better luck getting the code from a rock than Telus or Bell.

Default Unlock Telus Or Bell Blackberry Storm

I walked into a TELUS store, and I guess recently you can now obtain TELUS or BELL blackberry storm unlock codes.

I was told from the manager at the store to visit
this website

unlockblackberry_ca

as soon as i got home, I visited the website, and it's true you can now get your hands on the blackberry storm unlock codes for both telus and bell blackberry storm.

It took a few days, but the website emailed me back the remote unlock code and it works

I can use my work simcard from Europe and other local simcards no problem
I recommend this website too

unlockblackberry_ca

I would never use (nor recommend) a questionable website like that one that doesn't list a physical location or any contact information.

Not to even mention the prices are double that I see elsewhere with reputable dealers like Index of /

I've paid for unlock codes from 5 sites, and have been given refunds from all 5.
No one has generated a working code for me yet for Telus :'(

*correction*
heh, I had to reverse charges from Paypal to 3 of them, as they refused to refund.

JSanders is quite right, watch where you "shop"
