for whatever reason, i am unable to download google picasa and google search applications on my storm. i can sent the download link to the device, but the link simply brings me to the google screen that shows all their products. I had all these products (as well as google maps) on my curve), so I'm confused...any ideas??

sure, there is one. i had the picasa app on my curve. also, google has the one application that inlcudes all their products all in one icon. I can't get that download to work on the storm either

I agree that there is / has been a Picasa for the BB. I also agree that I can no longer find it.

Picasa is still on my 8830 (in use by GF) yet I cannot find it for OTA on my Storm. I will have to see if I have the installer on my PC.

I miss it though.

You dont really need the google apps, RIM gave us what we need.

Yeah, having more apps from quality companies is just overkill.

I am sure that we will see more Google Apps soon. Keep in mind the Storm is still a very new device.

Just downloaded the youtube app from mobile.google.com and it works great on the Storm!

I absolutely LOVE the Google Sync app. Love the ability to sync contacts and calendar with my BB.

I think the Google Sync App that Google has righ now is the best. It saved me some time, when I got the Storm all I did was install the app, run it and there were all my contacts.

I agree, it is a fantastic application. I have mobile me so when I had the iPhone I loved that feature, now I have something very comparable on the Storm. It's doesn't instant update to Google, but it does it often enough to keep me organized.
