Default Verizon screwed me over

Please Login to Remove!

This is the second time this happened

I have 7 phone lines on my account. at least 2 of them are eligible for upgrade. My phone line isn't elgible for a couple more months. I go into the verizon store and purchase the blackberry storm, using my mom's upgrade. The other phone thats eligible for an upgrade is a phone that my mom wanted to cancel. I specifically told them SEVERAL times that I wanted to use the upgrade on my mom's phone number. the employee even repeated the number back to me and seemed to understand what I was saying.
She ended up upgrading the phone line that my mom wanted to get rid of. So now we have a 2 year contract on a phone line we are not gonna use. Thats an extra 300 dollars total.
Its complete bullsh*t. I'm thinking about going to the verizon store to ***** at them. Would there be any significance if I did that? Do they have the power to fix this crap?

Sure they do. But a lot yelling and screaming will likely get their back bowed up and they will refuse to do anything.

Go ask for that agent, and explain your issue. Or ask for a manager, and explain with that agent present. You need them on your side first, to make the change.

If they refuse, then use whatever tactics you think will work.

i used to work for verizon, so in my suggestion because it is fairly hard to mess up using their phone activating system, to just call verizon customer service directly. they can switch over the upgrade that was done on phone number 2 (the one youd like to cancel), onto your moms phone, with no problem just as long as she really is eligible to upgrade. and while on the phone you can also cancel the number you no longer want.

option 2 is to return back to the store you went to, and return the phone, without a restocking fee (depending on what store you went to but honestly if they ask for one you can tell them they are a pack of blundering idiots) within the 30 day trial period of verizon. even though you got an upgrade and signed that contract you still have that grace period to return, and upgrade your line.

hope this helps.
cheers.

I was going to say the same thing, but that was only because they wouldn't sell me the Storm for $199 when I didn't have any early upgrades and I didn't want to pay $499 for it. But I guess that's not them really screwing me over.

Good luck getting your issue fixed dude.

I would call Verizon and tell them what happened, my experiences with Verizon have mostly been great, I do that if you are polite and tactful, it will go a very long way with them!

i do. but only because i denied a lot of parents a "free pass" and credit their accounts because their children ran text messages or bought ringtones and sent their bills into the high thousands. i told them i dont tell them how to raise their children, so don't come into my job and tell me how to do it. if they were a lot nicer i might have tried to help... but no.
