Hi, I don't know if it has to go there or in another subforum ..

I tried to setup my hotmail account on my blackberry via BIS, and I have a few questions.

- Does it download all messages from my account ?? It seems to have downloaded randomly some messages, but I don't figure what's the criteria ..

- Is there any way to have all my account folders structure on my blackberry ? (Personal folders, sent messages ..)

- The reception time and date is the one from the message download, is there any way to make the original reception time availaible ??

Live Mail = Too many ads attached to your emails.

Sure but .. my personal email is a live mail ..

It works, just not as well as GMail and or Yahoo! Mail. It is an http mail app where as the others utilize IMAP.

I do not think you can get individual folders onto your blackberry via BIS regardless of the type of email (http, POP or IMAP) but I may be wrong.

My wife uses her old Hotmail address via BIS on her device and it works fine, there is just a 15 minute, or so, lag on the delivery of the mail, which is generally the case with POP mail. If you have special instructions on your live mail for certain addresses to automatically deliver to a sub folder, I would expect those to NOT get to your device. Only the mail that gets to your general inbox will make it to your device. At least this has been my experience. I used Hotmail on my blackberry for years until I "wised up" and changed to Gmail! To each his own, but I could not recommend anything better than making that switch for a number of reasons..... Best of luck!

That's what I guessed.
I expected to have my folder structure as on my windows live app on Win Mobile, but I think I will have to wait a little more .. ;)
Still don't found out why it downloaded a few messages randomly though ..

P.S.: My professional account is a gmail ;)
