Hey..

i just got my blackberry today!! Wohoo!! And i need to find a place where i can write down the internet-settings.. I talked with my carrier and they said that i can use the internet and everything WITHOUT having the BIS, and that they already have many Storm users in their network..

So my question is.. Where can i go and write these settings?

Ive read BlackBerry Internet - MSN/chat/web/telnet/TCPIP - No BES! this thread.. But i dont understand a shit.. Where do i check what OS i have? What version and etc.

Thanks, I had no idea. So they use CDMA devices in Norway? That's fantastic!

I believe your web browser is tied to your BIS. If you don't have a BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) than you won't have a browser. Without browser you can't download third party apps directly to the phone, so you would have to use DM on your PC to get those applications. I am looking at m.google.com and don't see a way to download the .cod files for Google Maps, appears the only way to do it is through your Blackberry Browser.

Nope they dont.. I talked to them and they said that i could use all that without changing to TrigCom (The Blackberry carrier in Norway)..

Is it possible to install opera on the Blackberry and add some internet settings on the Storm without BIS? If so, How and where do i do it?
