Should I point out that texting while driving is incredibly dangerous. Even if you can do it you put other innocent people at risk. No matter how important you think you are, nothing you are doing can't wait a few minutes. Try thinking about other people.

Wirelessly posted

I don't know if you know what vlingo is but it basicly puts into text what you say without typing so I don't so how it is any different than talking on the phone while driving.

Before posting a mommy / daddy comment, do your homework about the app. Vlingo is software that translates your voice into text and or commands, therefore the user can write an email by recording his / her voice. Which IMHO is much safer than attempting to text while driving, which is terrible.

Now if they could only make a BES version to get around the "prompt" for access issue.

Correct, that's the version you need to download that's compatible with the Storm.

Well, it's not actually the file for the Storm (they have not released one yet), but the 4.6 version is fully compatible.
Several folks on this board (including me) have installed it w/o any compatibility issues.

You need to set the record permission in

Options->Advanced->Applications->select Vlingo->Menu Key->Edit Permissions

to "Allow."
