hey is it possible to use the storm as a modem for your laptop to:
1. browse the internet with firefox
2. use it to connect to play games on your laptop like call of duty 4

1. yes but there is a fee to use it tethered as an Internet modem for your PC.

2. I'm on Verizon now but back when I was on ATT I asked a tech support guy if any of his coworkers had tried gaming over their 3G service and he said yes but that there was too much latency. If I understand it correctly, even though you may get broadband speeds there is a delay between when a request is sent and the high-speed response (download) begins. The guy said that it just doesn't work. You will get killed by the guy on a cable modem.

Most carriers have data limits too. You will pretty much never hit your limit with normal use but gaming uses much more data
