Default

Are you just trying to move the application icon into the applications folder? If so, you can highlight the icon, click the menu button, and select Move To Folder... you can then choose any folder (including Applications) to move it to.

You can also change the default location applications are downloaded to when you install them OTA... click Menu to switch to the full screen icon view, then click Menu again to get the popup menu. Click Options. In the options, you can set the Default Download Folder to Applications (instead of Downloads) if you want.
